These lovely flowers were outside of the Visitors Center. We had a small meeting inside and then a Sister Missionary took us on a tour of the Smith home and farm, and then let us walk through the Sacred Grove on our own.
In front of the Smith’s house (you can see the Sacred Grove behind their house)
That’s the Palmyra Temple behind us, pretty cool huh? They cut back the trees so you can see it. (the Sister Missionary who is taking our picture is standing on the Smith’s front porch)
Headed into the Sacred Grove (there were actually a few paths into it—you’ll see another one a little farther down)
The Smith’s home is behind me as I took this picture
This is what Tim and Kate were looking at on the bridge in the picture above this one
It was truly a sacred experience and we were SO glad we got to go! If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Sacred Grove, we highly recommend it!

I have always wanted to go to the sacred grove! It sounds like it was a pretty neat experience! I love the picture of you all with the temple in the background...that is so neat how it's just surrounded by trees!
