Missing Daddy: Day #4

This morning Kate woke up and said, “I got to see Daddy last night!” I just assumed she was talking about when we saw him on the computer screen when we did Skype last night but then she said, “He played with me and we played in the snow!” She must have had a dream about him. It was really sweet and a tender mercy. I’m glad she can still play with him, and that she thinks it’s real. I asked if he held her and she said yes. I asked if he gave her kisses and she said, “not yet!” :)

Today Emi, Reese & Mand came to play. It was wonderful! Kate woke up early and was beyond crabby and mommy was ready for a break! With this yucky weather and our yucky colds we are sort of trapped inside and quarantined from the cousins that live close. Luckily Emi & Reese both have colds so they could come over (and their daddy was getting Lasik surgery today so Grandma had to babysit :)) It was so nice for Kate to have Emi to play with and so nice for me to get to talk to Mand while they played (until she had to leave to drive Koby to & from his surgery :)) The only bad thing was that Kate is still sick and all the running and spinning and dancing made her cough a bunch :( But if you look at these pictures you’ll see it was worth it :)
